Type A Mom Round Up

I know everyone is waiting on big fat dirt spill from me regarding the Type A Mom conference, but I truly had a wonderful time.  It was so much better than BlogHer and Type A Mom may have restored my faith in blog conferences again.

Now that doesn’t mean I wasn’t inspired by things I saw or hear that will bring out some of my more colorful language and opinions in later articles.

You can look forward to me posting this week about:

  • Does the sex industry belong in the mom industry
  • PR demanding “professionalism” from Bloggers -this may include some not so nice things. I promised Ali from Blissfully Domestic I would go easy on the F word, but I am not sure. I’ll try.
  • Do speakers have responsibility to not offend at conferences?
  • Contest Traffic- more educational post
  • Is TwitterMoms using the blogosphere and mom bloggers? Me Thinks Yes.

Thank you to everyone that tolerated my very obnoxious and busy personality. Thank you also to Extraordinary Mommy (@ExtraordMommy) and Dr Mommy (@DrMommy) for providing some of the pictures of us together. Make sure you visit these ladies fabulous sites and follow them on twitter. They are both amazing women.

  1. It was great meeting you and watching your personality shine @ typeamom. I have been getting your blog feed in my email box on a regular basis, but now I’ll know who is actually sending them.

  2. Great pics Trisha! Looks like Type A was a blast!

  3. Fab photos, Trisha! I really enjoyed getting to know you this weekend, especially on the Biltmore trip. No matter what they say about you, you’re awesome! (JUST KIDDING!!)

  4. Molly gold says:

Hey Tricia ~ It was AWESOME to meet you at TypeAMom! You know I’m a fringer, so I had no idea what all the buzz was about before I arrived. Fascinating, inspiring, and how intriguing it is for me to watch the community evolve. You have a passionate, clear voice and I’m looking forward to following, and learning, from your brilliant mind. Thank you for being so authentic!

  5. Alli says:

Hey, it was great to meet you at the conference! Looking forward to learning more from you.

  6. Okay Where in the world did that pic of me come from? I thought I did good at hiding from the cameras.

It was awesome to finally meet you in person. You have such a wild spirit and you blog as yourself nothing made up nothing fake Just Trisha and I love it.

  7. maria bailey says:

Wait, where is the picture of you stabbing me in the back? Or the million dollar photo of myself and SD in the same frame? Or the one with you and Jessica fighting it out?

THis is proof of why I would pick you to spend a weekend with if stranded in Vegas.

  8. Dr. Mommy says:

Oh My Goodness!! You are sooo cute!!! Thanks for chatting with me and showing me how precious you truly are:)

Hope your neck felt better after my little ‘treatment’:)

Hope our paths will meet again soon:)

    And yes, I love using :) ’s a lot! :)

  9. Faythe says:

Looks like you had fun & frolic!!

    looking forward to your posts!

  10. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to reading all your topics!

  11. Hey wait a minute – I might not even deserve the love – did you even use the picture I sent of you, me and Kadi? I might be overly tired, and thoroughly abused by two children and a husband who may or may not have missed me – but I don’t see it :)

  12. It was really a great conference. Kelby did a fabulous job organizing it.

  13. Well, well, well – I must confess, I adore your spunk and your willingness to express your opinion – even if you think it might not always be the most ‘popular’. You being you is fantastic. I too, had a wonderful time – love that I got to meet you in person – and thanks for the love in the post. I will hopefully see you again soon.

  14. Melissa says:

Looks like you had a great time! I can’t wait to attend my first blogger event!

  15. you have such an outgoing personality and so much energy! i enjoyed hearing you speak.

  16. Jody says:

I have some definite thoughts on the subjects you say will come up- I can’t wait to see what you think and weigh in.

  17. I’m looking forward to four of those topics and a little frightened of one. Once again though, I have to thank you for your encouragement. I definitely fall in love with you more and more each time we meet. I might become an official stalker after the 5th or 6th time.

  18. Trisha, I had SO much fun with you this weekend! I felt like we got to connect more deeply on both a personal and professional level.

I can’t wait to see your future posts, however, I want to point out that I think most PR people are looking for professionalism, but certainly not demanding it. I think “demanding” is a strong word.

Your brand is a strong one and I don’t think you should compromise it. You’re wicked smart and I know you’ve only scratched the surface when it comes to your success.

    Love the pictures!

  19. Edgy Mama says:

So nice to meet you, and especially, to dish about trolls and controversies with you. That was my favorite panel of the weekend. Plus, Julie let us cuss.

You and your lovely family are adorable.

  20. Maricris says:

Awesome Pictures! You all look lovely! I can’t wait to read what you have to say about the topics you mentioned above. These are crucial topics that we all need to hear and learn from.
