UPS are Big Fat Liars

I have a few packages that were shipped UPS to me and had delivery confirmation on it. I just get this email:

ups

Except I was in the shower and had no idea I had a package. I certainly didn’t meet UPS. My email is what prompted me to go look at  front door at all (and yes found a package there).

LIARS!

I am very lucky I guess, I live in a small village, Our UPS man not only knocks on the door, if He can see me but I don’t hear him, he cracks the door open and gives me a yell. Yes he has scared me, but I have always gotten my packages. At Christmas he also arrived with a package for me and said Hey I have packages for your Sister and niece but no one is home at their house, do you want them? Yes please, and I live 8 miles from my sisters house.
He is fantastic, we Love our UPS man, and no he is not a family friend and is not related.. His name is Gene..Great Guy, does a Great Job!

that’s messed up! I live in an apartment building and unfortunately people steal things. I hate it when UPS will the package with any adult. I’ve been having my packages delivered to my grandmothers address for the past year or so, she’s always home so I know its safe to have stuff sent there. got any relatives you could have stuff delivered to so that you know it’s safe?

I live in So Cal and my current Mail person ALWAYS throws packages over my gate. Always. It’s like a throw and run or something!

FedEx and UPS do the same thing to me….Is it something I said??? :P

My Label Daddy orders came FedEx ground. The first one? Delivered fine. The second? I saw status as ‘on truck for delivery’. At 7pm, when it wasn’t here, I checked again-and got address error. The DRIVER wrote on the envelope “No Such Address”, but transposed my numbers (only 10 houses on my street, hard to goof up).

It got back to their processing facility and whoever got their hands on it circled my number and what the driver wrote was my address with a “WTF? Those aren’t the same!” It was pretty funny after I’d been ticked off that I didn’t have them.

OK, so now I have a beef with the Fed Ex people. They delivered the Dyson for the Diva program, but just left it on the porch. They didn’t even knock! And I live in townhouses, so it’s visable to EVERYONE who walks by. It was just shipped in a a dyson box, so it’s very obvious as to what it is! My neighbor came over and told me it was there on the porch.

Delivery guys are such butts sometimes….

  9. LOL Too funny!

I have a great UPS guy. He rings the doorbell and knocks, and even recognizes my name. There have been a few times the wrong name was on the package, but it was the right address, and he was very concerned that it wasn’t for me. If I recognize the company it’s from he calms down. Then, if we’re not home, he will deliver it to the neighbors instead and leave a note saying which neighbors have it. He’s so nice!

  11. Yeah, DSL once said they left my package on my back porch when I lived in an apartment building.

  12. Jenna says:

Yup! Except mine was with FedEx and they said it was delivered….um, he delivered it to the wrong house!!! I threw a huge fit about that one.

  13. Tara says:

That’s happened to me before! I had a package from victoria’s secret sitting on my front porch for 2 days, we don’t use the front door. I wouldn’t have known except I checked the status and it said something similar to what yours did!

I just recently found out that UPS ‘lost’ a delivery I had been waiting on for over a month… Then, I made my Rx co require a sig for the next delivery… The guy put the meds in my hands and said have a nice day… NO sig asked for even though it was clearly marked on the package… UPS is definately going downhill because of delivery errors.
And, I agree… if the package doesn’t have your name on it… it aint yours! Send it back or take it where it should have gone…

Hey Customer Woman. Should we refer to you as CW from now on? That’s just weird!

Our UPS man is nice here on post. He rings the bell AND knocks, then waits a minute for you to get to the door before leaving your package. He’s always nice, and helped me bring in the heavy stuff at Christmas. FedEx on the other hand, is not so nice. They knock really loud. Loud enough to wake the dead, even though our doorbell works, and then drop the package and run. I can be sitting on the couch next to the door and the guy is back in his truck by the time I get the door open. Cracks me up. It’s not like I’ve ever even talked to him to be mean for him to do that.

I had a big refund from my mortgage escrow sent last year overnight with sig confirmation and they just left it at the door? I looked and it was for sig confirm too?

  18. Linda says:

Last month they delivered my hubby’s Playstation 3 to some company in town, Let the guy sign for it and everything. His name was NOTHING like my husband’s.

The shipment notice even had our address and the man still gave it to someone else. Luckily, I caught it before it was too late and he had to go back and get it and redeliver.

Seriously, Why have people sign for a package if you don’t make sure it is THE RIGHT PERSON!
