Win a 7 Day Stay in Orlando

A few weeks ago Kim and I ran a fabulous twitter party (and trended!) with Global Resort Homes and gave away some gift cards and ended with a big bang of a 7 day stay in Orlando in one of their fabulous vacation homes!

Global Resort Vacation Homes wants to spread the word on how wonderful it is to stay in a home versus cramming your family in a hotel and I have to agree. Every time DH and I go to Orlando we ALWAYS stay in a vacation home or condo. One time we rented a home so large both of our extended families stayed with us. Its so nice to come back and have your own room, your kids have their own room, your mother in law has her own room and one of their subdivisions is only 1.5 miles from Disney Main Gate!

Some of their divisions boast these for amenities:

  • 2 bedroom condos, 2 & 3 bedroom townhomes, 3 to 6 bedroom homes
  • Homes have private screened swimming pool and spa
  • Master suite with king or queen size bed and TV
  • Master bathroom with garden tub and separate shower
  • Fully equipped kitchens with breakfast area and formal dining area
  • One or two living areas with TV, VCR or DVD player
  • Washer and dryer
  • Homes available with game rooms that include billiards, table tennis and air hockey
  • Homes available with play stations for kids

In fact, Orlando is one of the places we never ever stay in a hotel. I am not sure about your kids, but Charlotte snores.

And kicks.

And gets up at 6am.

Vacation is not vacation unless the parents get a break too and there is nothing nicer then coming back, putting the kid(s) to bed and then flipping channels without keeping her up.

I also like that we can grab doughnuts, milk, fruit, and even keep salads cold in our fridge instead of running out to eat, then off to park. It keeps the mornings relaxed and we always stop in and buy milk and cereal as soon as we hit Orlando on the way to our house or condo.

And it may seem like a small thing, but having a washer/dryer available to wash all your clothes before you go home is the best. That way when you get home, nothing to do but unpack. No laundry, no separating the piles, no sweaty park clothes stinking up your suitcase.

In fact, Chris and I are planning a trip to Orlando and thinking of hitting up Discovery Cove, Seaworld, and Aquatica! We always do disney, but there is so so much more to offer in Orlando then typical attractions.

And Global Resort Homes wants you to be able to plan that as well and go in STYLE and COMFORT!

Global Resort Homes is offering us ANOTHER weeks stay to give out to a visitor of MomDot!

Now read carefully cause this ends THIS FRIDAY  NIGHT.

Only 40 minutes left guys! I would love to stay at the GRH properties because they seem safe, clean, well managed, inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area, and FAMILY oriented.

  2. Alexandra says:

can we decorate the house…and by that I mean put up christmas lights and such?

  3. Alexandra says:

does the kitchen have a pannini maker?

  4. Alexandra says:

is there cable hooked up to the tvs?

  5. Alexandra says:

    are the tvs HD?

  6. Eryn says:

That’s a good questions Alexandra! I was wondering that too, if there are certified lifeguards at the big pools.

  7. Alexandra says:

are there ipod docks in any of the rooms?

  8. Alexandra says:

do they have trainers on site for their workout rooms?

  9. Eryn says:

lmao Ron, the last time we stayed in a vacation home in Seattle, we showed up and there were ONLY twin beds. Hilarious because we pushed the twins together, and then ended up with both kids in our bed. 2 adults, 2 kids, ME in the crack in the middle where the beds go together.

  10. Alexandra says:

I am living these resorts because really you could stay in the house and never leave the resort! so much to do!!

  11. Alexandra says:

are there lifeguards at the main pools?

  12. Eryn says:

I want to stay at a GRH home because I clearly spend WAY too much time on the internet, and need a good excuse to get off my butt and play sand volleyball with Trisha ;)

  13. Alexandra says:

is there a starbucks near the resort?! i need my coffee!

  14. Ron says:

We stay at a house in Whistler for Thanksgiving every year and our don thinks it is great we have our own hot-tub, boy would he be excited if we had our own pool.

  15. Alexandra says:

are their cleaners located in the homes or will someone come in everyday?

  16. Ron says:

Did I see somewhere that some of the homes have computers? If I didn’t even have to bring my laptop that would be amazing. Otherwise is there Wi-Fi.

  17. Mandi says:

We stayed in a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN and it was amazing. We had a washer and dryer, so we could throw in our hot tub towels after we used them, and the full kitchen was PERFECT for cooking dinner! Cabins, condos, and houses are so much better then hotels!

  18. Alexandra says:

do we take the trash to a dumpster or will someone come pick it up?

  19. Alexandra says:

is there a place in global resorts to recycle?

  20. Ron says:

Do the homes have blenders?? We make all our on baby food and can’t live without a blender.
