Jewelry, and specifically vintage jewelry, can be a lot of fun.
Rummaging through yard sells is one of my favorite things to do-in the summer. I’m not too keen on it during the winter. My hands get cold!
I once went to a garage sale that had a box of jewelry that had some really crazy stuff in it. I ended up buying some completely useless pins that are actually in my desk. Once I got them home I was wondering why I bought them other then the fact that I might have felt bad for the old lady selling all the stuff and some small hope that they were worth a million dollars.
Oh, and they were only 10cents.
But if I wanted to wear vintage pendants, or even get real vintage engagement rings, I would probably need to start at a site that was an actual vintage jewelry store .
(insert duh here)
Vintage Yard is a new online luxurious vintage jewelry store featuring vintage engagement rings, antique jewelry, antique engagement rings, estate jewelry and fine jewels of many other kinds including vintage brooches, vintage style pendants and more.
I’m personally not a huge fan of gold, but i thought this Vintage style antique black ring was beautiful:
And of course pearls being my favorite, I was instantly attracted to these pearl drop earrings!
Do you have any favorite vintage jewelry?

Have you seen this etsy shop? http://www.etsy.com/shop/thesunshinestudio? I love the “vintage inspired” rings!
I’m a HUGE fan of vintage. As far as vintage jewelry I haven’t got much.
I love vintage jewelry! I was fortunate enough to get a beautiful turquoise ring, and also a fabulous necklace from my grandmother. They would both be at least 120 years old now. The ring is my birth stone (tomorrow is my birthday) and my grandmother gave it to me for my 16th birthday. When I was a junior in HS I lost it in my boyfriend’s car and thought I’d die! Luckily he found it, but I was really sweating it for several days.
We bought my engagement ring at a vintage jewelry shop in Los Angeles in 1997 when we were poor as church mice. The name of the store was “Wanna Buy a Watch?” The ring was from the 1940’s but I could find out nothing about its history. I dearly love my engagement ring. And couldn’t imagine wearing anything else.
