I know, its total gross out day apparently here. But this just happened in my kitchen. I am not good at washing all my vegis, I’ll admit that. I usually cut right into the tomatoes and put in the bowl. I even tear off lettuce and add to my plate.
No more, I tell you.
I am cutting off some celery.
I was thisclose to taking a bite and I see this:
WHERE THE HELL IS HIS BODY?????????????
My entire salad I was imagining I just ate it. It ruined my dinner.

I have found a bug like that in my prepackage salad before. EWWW!
LOL. I try to wash most of my veggies. I don’t think I want to eat bug wings. yuk! I have eaten worms that were in the plums from our tree. I don’t prefer it though.
LOL! It’s okay, a lil’ bug never killed anybody.
I know, well one time I came across a LIVE caterpillar in my lettuce. That was fun. lol

On the other hand, I religiously wash all my veggies. My dad used to have me help him wash fruits/vegetables from our little garden when I was younger, and there were invariably caterpillars or the like. Makes it much easier to remember to wash

Sick Trisha! Yes, you must wash your veggies! One time we had a slug in our lettuce. Let’s just say instead of washing it, I threw the whole thing out because it grossed me out so much!:S

I always wash mine, because my mom has always told me to, she’s pounded it into my head and if I almost don’t, I think of her telling me to and I do! I see why now. I probably would have just skipped the salad after that!
EWWWW I try to wash my veggies and fruits. I want to get a vegetable brush to really scrub them!
I usually buy my veggies already washed..just for that reason. But if they are not washed when i buy them, I wash them in warm water. Bugs (or bug parts) freak me out. Although, I can totally handle someone handing me their severed fingers (I’m a nurse).
One time I cut open a big green pepper and a moth flew out!
I know what you mean..I have the hardest time eating broccoli now. A couple of months ago, we were all sitting at the table and my husband was dishing out the broccoli. When he came to my plate, I got a spoonful of 2 broccoli heads and a lovely insect…I thought I was going to hurl!!! At least it was boiled I guess..so it was clean
ewwwwww i always wash mine . I had a accidnet like that about 5 years ago and since then I always wash them !
