So, ever since moving here, I have found that I see the strangest things every single day here. Im going to start taking pictures of them and sharing them…this is my new column, Only in Alabama.
Here is a great one today. This house is about the only house on this road, except for a few trailers around it. This is a few streets over from my subdivision. Its obviously a huge house, very pretty…….and it has BARBED WIRE around the entire thing. Someone does live there, its not a builder house, they have cars in the driveway and satellite dishes.
But barbed wire? I dont think I could live in a house I had to lock myself in….or people out.
That’s weird. Maybe they are trying to keep their dog in?
That gate especially makes me think that maybe they plan to have goats in the yard to help with the lawn maintenance.
Can’t they afford a nicer looking fence with a huge Mc Mansion like that?
That just looks tacky!

the funniest part is that its not unsafe around here..its just redneck.
LOL. Why would someone spend that much money on a home and then have to build a gate around their house to keep people in or out? Go buy a home the same price in a beautiful SAFE neighborhood!
The house looks beautiful, but somehow living in a prison just wouldn’t do it for me. Very random.

LOL that’s so awesome! I wonder if they have a crazy aunt that they have locked upstairs in the attic, that tries to run away and kill people!! (That would account for the fence AND why they have no neighbors!!)
gesh. that is very odd. on the other hand I do carry my camera around everywhere you just never know right
its a security thing. i guess its whatever works, right? LOL
i have a 7ft wooden privacy fence all the way around my backyard. no one can get in. the door is even hidden…hehehe

I’ll have to give my friend crap for this – he’s a big Alabama fan since he was raised there. We’re trying to convince him that MN is MUCH better/superior.
