Last night Charlotte, Daddy and I were on a walk. Since there has been some talk of Halloween costumes on the MD forums, I thought I would ask Charlotte what she wanted to go as this year.
The past few years she has always been something…well…”boyish”. I have the worlds prissiest tom boy.
Last year she was a train conductor.
The year before, a pirate.
I have been waiting for my ‘princess’ to show up.
So I said “Charlotte, what are you going to be this year for Halloween?”
She says ” A Princess!”
Score.
Me: “Which one? Cinderella?”
Her: ” Aurora. She’s my favorite.”
Awesome. She is my favorite too. This day could not get better.
Then Chris pipes up and says: “What should I be?”
Charlotte says ” You can be my prince!”
Awwwwwwww!
So I said “What should I be? I can be another princess with you!”
Charlotte says ” No, mommy, you can be the evil witch.”
Well.
I guess I know whose bread is buttered in this house.

In my house, Rowan is the princess, I am Queen Mommy and daddy is King Daddy. And i never asked her to call us that. She did it on her own.
