Where the hell have ewe been, Trisha?

[private]

You are abandoning the blog for the past few days..you suck, what kind of blogger are you?

Yeah, Yeah, tell me about it.

So the day before yesterday Charlotte was home with a terrible fever (think H1N1) and around 2pm my dad, whom is also our Realtor, calls and tells me that we have a showing at 6pm.

Of course we do.

Its our first showing since we have been listed and actually our first inquiry entirely in the past 3 weeks. My dad is like..you have to take it, even if Charlotte is sick.

Le Sigh.

He is right.

I go to full out panic. The house was a war zone.  With only 2 adults, one child, and 4 cats, we seriously know how to break a place in.

I was still in my pajamas. Don’t bother scrolling up, you read it right,  it was 2pm.  I had to clean the carpets, bleach everything, mop everything, paint walls…we even had a neighbor mow our grass. Full on house assault-which is exactly what I deserve after neglecting to keep it ready.

At 10 to 6, we hop in the car on our way to some crappy fast food joint to kill time and the phone rings. We are literally buckling Charlotte in the car.

I look at my DH with the death look: They better not be canceling after all of that.

I will kill someone. I will let the air of their tires. I will….

Crappity Crapper Funkel.

They are canceling.

Thankfully they rescheduled for the next night (last night if you’re counting). Good sign, Good sign! I go on a clean the house kick again all day yesterday. I realize I just cleaned, but now it doesn’t smell like clean house, kwim? I have 4 cats, I have to work hard to make showable.

We head out last night to our 2nd fast food join in a row and then off to the park.

The lady and her Realtor show up and she LOVES our house! But her DH couldn’t make it so they are going to schedule a 2nd showing. I take back everything I said about killing someone. I am now planning to fund her and her DH arriving in a limo.

We are coming home to you, Florida, I can feel it!

In the mean time, Charlotte is learning to embrace my arm with a camera attached to it.

But I cant seem to capture her without her tongue sticking out. I never realized she had that habit till I started shooting her every. waking. move.

Beggars can’t be choosers.

Best of luck with the showings! We just did the whole moving thing and it sucks no matter how far you’re relocating…and we were just a couple blocks over! I totally feel your pain; though we don’t have 4 cats we do have 4 kids…just as messy! LOL

Awesome picture Trisha. I don’t know how I missed that you were moving to Florida. I must have been under a rock that day. Hope all goes well with selling your home and moving.

  8. Amanda says:

I always hated that when we were selling our house. Of course now we’re trying to sell an empty house. THAT’S fun – not.

Awesome picture with the new camera.

  9. Maria M says:

It looks like Charlotte is feeling better from the pictures! That’s good!
I’ve had those neglect-your-home, then something-comes-up-and-theres a-mad-dash-to-clean-up moments, but I can’t imagine it with a sick child on hand! jeez.
But taking that into account, I think you’ll have good luck on selling your house, bc it’s when things are unexpected and days get crazy busy that good things like that tend to happen.
Oh, and I’m sure you have tons of friends already, but you have one here for when you move to Florida!

Fingers crossed for a quick sale!

  15. Kasey says:

First off…AWESOME shots! Charlotte is adorable too!!

Good luck with the selling of your house! Just takes that 1 person to fall in love. We sold ours last year, sight unseen. Just from some photos I shot on the internet. CASH deal! You just never know!!

  16. Elizabeth says:

Oh, I would be sooooo livid.

At least you got a clean house out of the deal!

  17. MMJ says:

Gosh…she is such a little girl now. What happenend to our babies?? Your camera is awesome. I’m so drooling. Good luck with the house!

  18. I hope they give you your asking price. It’s going to suck for Charlotte to have to change schools in the middle of the year, though. :(

I really hope you are able to sell soon. Have you already picked out the house you want in FL?

I swear i am going to be jealous of your camera until I get my own. *sigh*

I love the way it focuses on the subject and blurs out the background. It’s so awesome.

  19. Stefanie says:

Oh that sucks! I hope they love it and buy it! Good luck w/ that! And yeah, my kids do the same thing with their tongues but it’s usually when they’re working on something. Be careful Charlotte, you’re gonna bite that thing off while you’re running! lol ;)
