If there is one thing I love, its the beach. You know that already.
This past weekend on labor day we went over to Pensacola Beach.
The oil is gone. The oil is long gone.
Let me repeat…the oil….is GONE.
And there is no beach, or place {with the exception of Tahiti} that I would rather be but on the whitest sands in the world right on the Gulf Coast.
(my view on Sunday and Monday)

We spent the day lounging under our Sportsbrella and frolicking in the water, which is starting to get cooler. In fact, Monday morning, as Charlotte, her Pop, and her daddy where boogie boarding, right over their headline I watched a Manta Ray jump out of the water spanning 6-8 feet across.
It was absolutely breathtaking.
And reminded me that there were things bigger than I am in the water. Yikes.
As much as we travel over to Pensacola Beach (which also happens to be where I grew up), we have never hung out in Gulf Shores. It’s terribly ironic considering I live in Mobile Alabama right now.
So when Stefanie let me know Traveling Mamas were giving away a trip to the Gulf Shores…how could I *not* enter? A vacation in my own backyard?
If you have not had a chance to visit the gulf coast, are afraid to travel here, or have let the media change your perception of reality…here is what you are missing….

Winter is on its way…dont miss the last days of the summer while the water is still warm!

I just love your photos. We lived in Louisiana for a time and would travel to the beaches often. Here in VA we havnt gone much, the jellyfish are a force to be reckoned with.
