Updated with a picture. On Fathers day, we were out of town. When we got home, we found this massacre scene in our yard. Apparently the bird lost.

Charlotte was stunned.

    At least there weren’t a lot of gory bits on the lawn. I once found a bird’s foot on my lawn…and the rest of it in my backyard. That would have been hard to explain to Rowan. :(

    Aww! My cat has been chasing some robins in our yard for awhile. We were gone for the weekend and it looks as if they wised up and set up a new nest elsewhere because they haven’t been seen since. Even though it’s sad, it’s a great lesson to teach Charlotte the facts about life. I always take those opportunities to teach my kids about life and death. Happy WW Trisha!:)
