Just dont call me a mommy blogger, please. Man, I cant wait to get my chi. I am really loving how my hair is looking longer, but it needs to straighten out more. Its so………..southern right now. I am so so sick of the web community being catty and rude. Let me set the record straight:
1) I do not create blogs to compete with YOU. I am college educated, I have run quite a few sites over many , many years, and I know a ton of things about the web. I create content for the users that come HERE to enjoy it. If you don’t want to read it, don’t read it. But please don’t imply or insinuate that I did it to detract from some blog you did. There are 17 million blogs out there. I go to like 20 of them on a regular basis. So for the other 16,999,980 I didnt make it to today, maybe you should check my site first. I don’t have time to check EVERY post before I write. There are only SO many blogs people right before ideas show up in the same place over and over again. I am sorry if I had the same “top 10 crappy cartoons” as someone else.
2) I do not hosts contests to compete with YOU. I dont hold live contests, or use the same sponsors, to “get” at your blog. I host the contests of the ones that contact us or Alicia sets us up with. I mean, this isnt Oprah people.
3) I do not care who you are, unless your being NICE. If you twitter, blog about, myspace, facebook or more about someone you have never met in your life, its really weird and lame. I have girls on my forum right now that are getting hate email from people online. Does that make sense to anyone? Hate email? And if we totally show up in the same dress to prom, I’m going to die.
4) Don’t come here if you are going to pretend your Gods gift to the blogging world (unless your perez) and get mad at someone, that you DON’T EVEN KNOW. Its called a hater. Its not becoming on anyone. Isnt the whole point to network with people? The only people that like people that talk crap, are people talking crap.
5) Stop sending anonymous comments and emails…for one, they are not really anonymous because your IP shows who you are, two, it makes you look like an ass that you have that much time, and three if you have something to say and cant say it under your name, then you probably shouldn’t be saying it. And no, i wont be approving nastiness on MY blog.
6) stop ganging up with people. If you have an opinion, handle it like an adult and go to that person. The web is not some huge place where you can just say…oh, that person is terrible..maybe look at the person gossiping or talking, its not right, its not going to be on our site, and I’m embarrassed for those that are a part of it.
7) I am not some motrin mom person. Say it with me people, RUMOUR. Was i confused w/ someone who hides behind what i have to say? I already put up my opinion..with my NAME, Why would i reblog it anonymously? Hello.
8 ) I took down the Wii vote thing. Its a VIDEO GAMING SYSTEM. Its not a big deal at ALL. Its like a $200 prize I can buy at walmart. Its not a million dollars. I wanted to be a part of a contest on a bloggers site for FUN. But if that contest is making people be THIS rude, there is too much PMS going around. I wont be voting for anyone and i wont be sending people to it either. I mean, really REALLY think about it. Was it worth isolating someone online over a contest? Did it make people feel good to be mean? I bet the blogger that is running the contest would have appreciated the traffic and the fun of it. Maybe I wasn’t part of the “clique” that was competing with “eachother”. I think i missed the memo on signing up to be cool first. Sooooo sorry.
9) I cannot believe moms are SO competitive and nasty, that they gang up with each other to hurt other people. You don’t see me ganging up on people here or on twitter. I am trying to have a good time by running a site online, sometimes i play along, sometimes i run the contests, but why would someone try to bring me down for entering? I see bloggers ALL DAY offer “win this if you vote for me” online. ALL . DAY.
10) if you don’t like me, stop coming here. Or rather, don’t stop coming here…my advertisers like it.

For whatever reason, there are plenty of “mean girls” online and off that would would readily attack another female without a second thought. That’s why I never talk about politics, religion or things too controversial. Because if you are different or didn’t realize you broke an unspoken rule or even unwittingly messed up, those with a mean spirit will taste blood and go in for the kill. I think there are a lot of women who could use some encouragment…self esteem issues are obvious…and really, we ALL have issues of insecurity-join the club! BUT, the difference is that some woman know how to deal and some don’t..and those who don’t are the ones that email hateful and hurtful things to others…

*The first time a Dotter engages in drama of any kind (including commenting on posts that promote drama)they will be demoted to mommy blogger.
*For 2 years they must refrain from all things dramatic. Posting on debates will be allowed as long as they can do so in an adult manner and be respectful of dissenting opinions.
*Should they pass 2 years drama free they will be promoted to Probie Dotter dor one more drama free year.
*At the completion of 3 years without drama they will be reinstated to Dotter.
3 years is enough to get it out of your system and mature, right?

Personally, I think you should put the wii contest back up because otherwise it’s like they won and they told you what to do with your blog. I’m really glad i’m not a part of twitter so i can stay out of this stuff… There will always be people who feel inferior to the rest of us and they will always try to bring you down to their level to make them feel better about themselves. Don’t let them get to you or cause you to alter what you do in anyway.

Trisha – I’ve been awol for a few days, and obviously missed what’s going on. I have to say, though, that this is always one of the first places I check out. Keep right on doing what you’re doing. People will continue to come. Some will voice their opinions, but it’s the minority who are crabby and catty. The rest of us love coming here, and will continue to do so faithfully.
