Your unborn baby can now Twitter

kickbee

Yep, you read that right. In an age where social media has hit an alltime high, we are not sure what to think about a fetus twittering. Hell, why not throw in an Xbox 360.

But really, the concept is a cute one. A new prototype by KickBee has come out, which attaches around a pregnant woman’s waist with Velcro and records the movements from kicks and jabs, which are then transmitted to twitter with every punch and kick you feel from your insides.

  • Wow I’m being very active! I kicked Mommy 13 times at 03:44AM on Thu, Dec 11!
  • Wow I’m being very active! I kicked Mommy 84 times at 03:44AM on Thu, Dec 11!
  • Wow I’m being very active! I kicked Mommy 258 times at 03:44AM on Thu, Dec 11!

Whoever knew being mauled from the inside could be so cute? Although, I do think the sensors may be a little sensitive because if a baby is kicking me 258 times in one minute, I’m going to be inclined to already ground the poor thing from a year of TV.

Stupid or cool?

That’s funny lol but I don’t think I’d want that strapped on me!

Yes not for twitter. Really I think it would start to annoy me with all the tweets.

  4. I’m all for the miraculous joy that is the movement of an unborn child, don’t get me wrong. But I’d unsubscribe quicker than you can say “WHA?” if I started seeing tweets every time a baby kicked. TMI.

  5. …it’s a cool idea to begin with, but it would get so old SO fast. Not only for the rest of us seeing it on Twitter, but for the poor woman wearing it.

It might be a nice gift for moms (like those baby heartbeat listening thingys), but on Twitter…? No way…

  7. I think it is “cute” and maybe if it send a text message to the daddy, but not for Twitter. Would I buy it for someone…no. Would I laugh if someone I know bought it for themselves…yes. Would I be curious enough to have it send me a couple of messages…maybe…if they were free.

I’m not sure what to think of it. As a mom who came so close to losing a baby with a knot in his cord, having something that could count the number of kicks would be such a blessing. However, I’m not sure that I’d want to “twitter” about it. Why on earth would anyone else care how many times the baby has kicked? But, for my own peace of mind, it would have been REALLY nice to have with my pregnancies!

  9. Coming from a pregnant woman…silliness. I’ve got enough weight hanging off my mid section, I don’t need to add a belt of gizmos.

Brutal honesty – If I saw those tweets popping up I’m afraid I might abandon the person who was sending them until the baby showed up. Especially if the baby was kicking like mine did or if it was multiples! Can you imagine? And don’t tweet that from your mobile unless you have an unlimited text plan!!

    But that’s just my opinion!
