Simple Banana Muffin Recipe

by trisha haas

Now no matter if you are creating your own recipe or adding to a recipe, having a basis is a good start.

So I decided that a fit for our family today was banana bread. We have a super simple recipe that we use all the time and it can be altered to your liking- and then some. First I pulled out all the ingredients that the bread called for and a lot of fun extras. Odds and baking ends like chocolate chips, walnuts, reeses pieces, cocoa and lots of extra bananas with unlimited flour, eggs, and sugar.

Simple Banana Muffin Recipe

  • 2-3 very ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Mash up your bananas and add your melted butter. Next add your baking soda and salt. Once that is all sufficiently mixed up, stir in your sugar, egg and vanilla extract.

Lastly add your flour and then put in your oven. We made muffins which only needed 20 minutes to cook, however if you make bread, you may need up to an hour. Check on your bread/muffins and they are done when your knife comes out clean.

Before I show you the results of Charlottes creations (both of them) lets learn more about Toca  Kitchen 2. No doubt that you have many Toca Boca apps on your tablets or phone like we do. In fact, I believe we have the entire collection as its a favorite developer here.

They are so cute! I was just thinking about this last month when we made Christmas cookies. They spend so much time in front of the tv {shame face}. But we had so much fun baking cookies for Santa! We will be doing more of that!

We love banana bread but never tried baking it myself. I just buy at Walmart all the time. I haven’t tried baking yet actually since I got here in the U.S. I do want to do it soon though.

Always awesome to teach the kids how to cook, it’s really sad how some kids around the age of 17 are unsure about boiling water!

Neither one of my boys love helping out in the kitchen. They do it when I ask them to, but I think they would rather just eat what I make once it’s done 🙂
