This Fried Peach Pie Recipe is a fresh, Southern classic filled with fruity, sugary goodness and perfect for Spring or Summer!
Prepare your filling. Place peaches and sugar in medium saucepan. Fill with enough water to only cover the peaches. Heat on medium to medium-high heat and cook for 20 minutes, until the sugar melts, the filling thickens, and the peaches soften.
You can either wait until the filling is done cooking, turn off the heat, and set aside, or prepare the crust as the fruit cooks.
Roll & cut the dough. Dust your work surface with some flour and roll out the pie or biscuit dough until flat and even. Use your biscuit cutter to cut 6 to 12 circles (however many pies you want).
Roll the circles of dough out once again.
Put your pies together. Spoon the peach pie filling into the center of the dough circles and spread longways in the center of the dough. Fold the dough closed and use the fork tines to press the seams closed.
Fry your pies. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter per pie. Place pie, one at a time, in the skillet and fry on each side until crispy and golden brown (about 3-5 minutes).
When done frying, drain on paper towels.
