Why eat out when you can have McDonald's at home? This Copycat McDonald's Nuggets Recipe tastes JUST. LIKE. the real thing (but with healthier ingredients!).

What You Need
  • 3 Diced chicken fillets (boneless, skinless)
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 1/2 cup Corn starch (divided)
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp Onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp Yellow mustard
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • Peanut oil or frying oil
Instructions
Process Chicken & Form Nuggets
  1. Put chicken, salt, and 1 egg in processor. Process until it forms into a thick paste.

  2. Put corn starch in shallow dish. Wet your hands, take a handful of chicken, and form into a nugget. Coat nugget in corn starch and place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Repeat until all of the chicken is made into nuggets.

Bread Nuggets & Freeze
  1. Whisk together remaining egg, water, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, mustard, and flour in large bowl. Dip each nugget in batter and return to baking sheet. Repeat until all nuggets have been breaded.

  2. Put sheet in freezer for 1 hour to allow nuggets to harden.

Fry Nuggets
  1. In a large pot, heat frying oil to 350 degrees.

  2. Deep fry nuggets for 5 minutes. Remove to drain on paper towels, then deep fry nuggets again for 5 minutes. (Prevents burning while inside cooks).

  3. Drain on paper towels and serve.
