New York Style Shrimp Recipe
What You Need
  • 1 tube prepared polenta cut into 8 slices
  • 4 tablespoons Bertolli Olive Oil divided
  • 1 1/2 pounds large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 large cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 jar Bertolli Riserva Marinara Sauce heated
  • extra basil optional
Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat in large nonstick skillet.
  2. Add polenta slices and cook 8 minutes turning once, until slightly crisp. Remove and keep warm
  3. Toss shrimp with garlic and salt in large bowl. Sprinkle with flour then toss until evenly coated
  4. In the same skillet, heat 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil over medium heat
  5. Add half of the shrimp and cook 6 minutes or until golden, turning once
  6. Remaining with remaining oil and shrimp
  7. Spoon 2 cups of hot Bertolli Riserva Marinara Sauce onto serving platter
  8. Arrange polenta over sauce then top with shrimp
  9. Drizzle remaining sauce over shrimp and garnish with fresh basil if desired
