One Pan Caprese pasta (No Draining!) Recipe
What You Need
  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 box bowtie pasta
  • 1 package of grape tomatoes sliced in half
  • 6 whole basil leaves
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh diced Mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
Instructions
  1. Sauté onions and garlic with olive oil over medium heat and cook until soft (about 2-3 minutes)
  2. Add pasta, sliced tomatoes, 4 basil leaves, garlic, water, salt and pepper to the pan and stir to combine.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until pasta is cooked (about 10 minutes)
  5. Top with diced mozzarella, cover pan and cook on low until cheese is melted
  6. Sprinkle with Balsamic vinegar and remaining basil for garnish.
