How to make Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes
What You Need
  • 5 lbs of red potatoes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • seasonings like salt pepper, onion and garlic powder (approx 1 tsp per seasoning)
  • Optional: Butter Gouda, Sour Cream
  • Sister Schubert's Yeast Dinner Rolls
Instructions
  1. Cut potatoes into chunks.
  2. Add your potatoes, chicken broth and seasonings into a slow cooker. Cover.
  3. Put slow cooker on high for approximately 3 hours. You need to watch your slow cooker as some cook faster and the smaller your chunks, the faster it cooks. I check mine at 2 hours and make sure I still have enough liquid in the slow cooker.
  4. Feel free to add more, it will not hurt the recipe.Once done, mash up with a manual masher.
  5. Now add butter and a 1/2 cup of sour cream and mix well.
