Savory Catalina-Style Pulled Pork

A quick and easy Instant Pot Recipe that will put savory pulled pork between a bun in less than 2 hours!  Dinner, anyone?

Course: dinner
Servings: 3 pounds
What You Need
  • 3.5 pounds boneless pork shoulder
  • 3 Tbsp Pork Spice Rub Optional
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 14 ounces Chicken Broth
  • 18.6 oz bottle Carolina Tangy Vinegar Style BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
Instructions
  1. Optional- Rub 1 Tbsp. spice rub on each side of your pork shoulder.  Pour 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil into the bottom of your stainless steel Instant Pot bowl.  Saute meat on each side for a few minutes, lightly browning all sides.  This step takes approximately 5 minutes.

  2. Replace your lid, making sure the pressure release valve is on Sealing, setting your Instant Pot Manual setting to 90 minutes.  Once the time is complete, instantly release your valve for a quick release.  Drain the liquid and shred your pork

  3. Once pork is shredded, mix in the BBQ sauce, packed brown sugar, and paprika.  Enjoy!
