Grinch Cookie Recipe, 3 sizes too small heart cookies perfect for Christmas holiday that will delight kids and be a hit at your party

It’s cookie season and this year delight your kids by serving Grinch Christmas Cookies with this ultra fun and adorable “3 sizes too small” green heart cookies. Easily made, this cookie brings the season alive with one of my very favorite icons, The Grinch! Even better, this cookie recipe that includes boxed cake mix and cream cheese, means for a delightfully delicious cookie that is excellent with a glass of milk or just on its own.  The thing about some Christmas Cookies that you see out there is that the decorating itself can be hard and time-consuming. These are absolutely not. Just with a little food dye and a little heart to represent the Grinch and you are on your way!

Before we get started on the cookies you will absolutely need some hearts! The hearts make the cookies….after all, that is what the grinch needed! Here are some heart suggestions and you can grab them here:

Grinch Christmas Cookie Recipe

  • 1 box vanilla or white cake mix
  • 1/2 package (4 oz) cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • Green food dye
  • Heart sprinkles
Grinch Cookie Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Prepare a cookie sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
  3. Mix the cake mix, cream cheese, butter and egg together until completely combined
  4. Add the green food dye a few drops at a time, mixing thoroughly and adjusting to reach your desired color.
  5. Using a small cookie scoop, portion out 1 1/2 Tablespoon sized mounds and attach a heart sprinkle in the middle of each.
  6. Bake 10-13 minutes until spread, cracked and no longer glossy.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on a cooling rack before serving or storing.

What You Need
