Making poison apples out of candy and apples is an amazing way to bring a Halloween treat to your next party or gathering. They look extra spooky in a black candy just like Snow White!
Halloween is my favorite time of the year. With all the fantastic and amazing recipes, ideas, and ways to really connect with your family and friends, it’s a never-ending cauldron of surprises and fun. Throughout the year I try to inspire you with crafts, recipes, and products that you love doing but even as a creative blogger, I get inspired as well! This year, while looking around the great wild world of awesome ideas, I came across a How to Make Poison Apples recipe.
I have seen this before in a variety of ways- candied and caramel apples in a variety of rainbow and exciting colors. I have also seen quite a few takes on poisoned apples like this one from Country Living or this one from Simply Delicious. One that really stood out for me were the fun way that Wanna Bite did hers with real sticks- so visit that too (all links also below at end of recipe).
Of course, we needed to do our own poison apples. I’ts fun, its simple, and it has that extra creepy gross factor that any good Halloween party needs to have. Part of me wants to dress up the evil witch in Snow White and just pass these out to kids but I’m pretty sure the parents will throw them away like I am the creepy clown killer. But if you have friends you trust and love you and know you won’t ACTUALLY poison an apple, this is for you:
