I don’t know about you, but a donut starts my day off just about right. I know its not GREAT for me, but every now and again, we all deserve some chocolate in our lives! This recipe amps it up a bit by adding a delicious coffee glaze right on top, making it a chocolate on chocolate with coffee donut. I mean abs are cool, but have you tried donuts??

Baked Chocolate Donuts Recipe with Coffee Flavored Glaze
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup + 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons Donut House Chocolate Glazed Donut Coffee, brewed
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1-2/3 cup powdered sugar
- (add more powdered sugar for a thick frosting)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and spray a donut baking pan with non-stick cooking spray, dust lightly with flour.
For donuts, mix dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Add milk, egg, vanilla and butter. Whisk until smooth.
Fill each donut cavity ½ full with the batter.
Bake 12 – 14 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
For the glaze, whisk together all ingredients until smooth. You may need to add an additional cup of powdered sugar for a thicker glaze.
Dip the top of each donut in the glaze, top with chocolate sprinkles and enjoy.
