I cannot believe summer lets out around here in 2 weeks. TWO WEEKS PEOPLE. My kids will be in and out of my office, begging me to drag them to the park, the pool, and goodness knows what else. I really love summer and I really don’t mind, but this year I am coming prepared for these next three months: A CHORE CHART.
Yep, my kids are getting introduced to their very own chore chart. Want to go to the pool? Check the chore chart. Want to go for a bike ride? Check the chore chart. The one thing my kids respond to well is lists. They can’t remember sometimes 42 seconds after I ask them but once you put it on paper, they are on top of it. My oldest, 11, will whip through a chore list in under an hour compared to a verbal list, which takes slightly under 9 months.

Now this chore chart is totally up to your own discretion but its so easy to use. Simply write the chore on the day its due and check off when its done. (hint: the kids like the checking off part) You can do one chore for each day if you like or make this a daily chart. I purposely left it blank for your own house hold interpretation. You can also print it larger if you have a wide printer and I recommend you laminate it to use over and over again.
