It’s that time again!
Crafting for holidays is always a ton of fun and Valentines Day is a great one to get the kids involved and your house looking a less barren after all the Christmas Decor is gone. The great thing about a tulle wreath is that you can mix up the colors easily to create a cute in house bedroom door expression, a bedroom decoration, or a gift for a teacher. And if you are worried that this craft is hard to do, think again!
Simple slip knots or basic knots make it a no sew option for even the most basic of crafters. And because you can buy a metal ring in almost any size, you can make the mini tulle wreath like shown below or a big front door one!
Valentine’s Mini Tulle Wreath
Materials:
- Tulle squares
- Scissors
- Small metal craft ring
- Hot glue (optional)
- Felt, fabric or other embellishments (optional)
Instructions:
Fold a square of tulle in half and then in half again.
Tie the folded square of tulle to your metal craft ring with a simple knot. This will leave one tail of the tulle on each side of the craft ring.
Tip: Hold the craft ring between your knees to stabilize it while tying the tulle.
Continue folding and tying the squares of tulle around the craft ring until you have filled in all available space.
Trim the tulle ends hanging on each side of the craft ring so that they are uniform and to a length you want.
Hot glue embellishments onto the wreath if desired. For this one, a simple three layer heart of felt and fabric was added as well as two smaller felt hearts.
