This time of the year is busier than any other time of the year for me. Between the incredible amount of things the kids have going on with school, lots of invites with friends, and squeezing in visits to both sides of the family, I barely get time to put a new load of wash in before I am running to the next thing.
All that busyness aside, this time of the year is also one of the best with lots of laughter, football, holidays and filled with food. In fact, it’s the food that keeps me going, measuring my days into weeks and weeks through the New Year.
I know that if you are here you are likely cooking for an all encompassing best cookie recipe ever and I totally have it for you. The Country Crock® Make It Yours™ Cookie Recipe (the only cookie recipe you need this holiday) is an all-encompassing recipe that allows you to make ANY KIND OF COOKIE with this basic dough base.
It’s soft, perfect and good for any mix-ins. To prove how versatile this cookie is from beginning to end, I created Cranberry, Blueberry & White Chocolate cookies this season.
Flawless, these cookies have a hint of Christmas time with a slightly crunchy edge and soft pillowy center. Even if my personal mix-ins are not your favorite, this cookie dough base can go with anything.

If everyone’s favorites are handfuls of nuts and chocolate chips, it works for that, but if you want to get adventurous and add in left over candy or lots of gooey caramel centers, you can STILL use this recipe.
Cranberry, Blueberry & White Chocolate Make It Yours™ Cookie Recipe
To get started:
- 1 cup Country Crock® Spread
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 cup of Dried Cranberries
- 3/4 cup of Dried Blueberries
- 1/2 cup of white chocolate
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°. Mix Country Crock® Spread, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, egg, egg yolk and vanilla in large bowl until well mixed. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda until blended. (Dough will be soft and creamy.)
Add your choice of mix-ins until every spoonful of dough has some of the delicious mix-ins.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls on ungreased baking sheets 3-inches apart.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool 1 minute on wire rack; remove from sheets and cool completely.
SUGGESTED MIX IN
The dough above is THE perfect dough. You can mix in 1-2 cups of any type of mix in, but I created Blueberry, Cranberry and White chocolate cookies.
They WERE DELICIOUS.
- 3/4 cup of Dried Cranberries
- 3/4 cup of Dried Blueberries
- 1/2 cup of white chocolate
After the dough is formed, mix in the above before putting in oven. Feel free to use more or less to create the perfect cookie for your family
