Chicken Broccoli Braid Recipe with Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

Chicken Broccoli Braid Recipe with Crescent Rolls is one of those that can be made in less than an hour and because its so filling due to flaky bread that it can be a serious dinner on a dime. But honestly, about the only way I can get my kids to eat something green is to throw it into fried or bread.

  • 2 cans Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls
  • 2 cups chicken chunks cooked
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups broccoli frozen, steamed and chopped
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg yolk
  • fresh rosemary

You need no special devices to make this recipe and kids love to help on this one!

How to make a Broccoli Chicken Braid

Before you get started on this delicious chicken broccoli braid dinner, you need to be prepped!

First, preheat oven to 375 degrees F

On a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, spread both cans of pillsbury crescent rolls length wise to form a long rectangle.

If you use a counter, the crescent rolls may stick so do not skip this step.

Press each of the seams to form a single layer of dough, which will be the base of your bread crust.

In a large bowl, combine chicken, cheese, broccoli and mayonnaise. If you want a more homemade taste, you can precook up chicken or boil it. If you are in a hurry, using canned chicken that is drained is just fine.

Spread your chicken and broccoli mixture over the center of the croissant dough evenly to create a log.

Using a sharp knife, cut horizontal strips 1 inch apart down each side of the crescent dough.

Fold the dough strips over the top of the chicken mixture, alternating left and right to create a braid.
