M&M cookies make the best candy cookie recipe out there and this homemade dough has perfected a delicious easy cookie that you will love to make and eat!
You cannot make M&M’S® more perfect. Because M&M’S® are awesome just the way they are. Unless of course location matters and then you can make them better by filling your hand up with the candy coated goodness in Paris or Disney World.
Then again, if you throw them between lots of sugar, flower and vanilla and dip them in milk, the amazingness is a bit elevated.

What I love about homemade cookies, other than eating the dough (shh, don’t tell) is that they are SO incredibly easy to make.
The aisles are filled with boundless cookies at the store, but in less than 20 minutes you can mix up batter, bake, and be sitting down to enjoy a movie with a warm M&M cookie and a glass of milk.
M&M Cookie Recipe
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 1/2 cups flower
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cup of M&M’S® (I generally just buy the large back and dump the whole thing)
How to make M&M Cookies
Mix your sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla all the way through.
Add your dry ingredients to your cookie batter.
Hand mix about half of your M&M’S® into the dough and stir.
Drop dough in balls on parchment paper.
Press remainder of M&M’S® on top of dough balls.
Put in a preheated 350 degree oven for approx 9-11 minutes.
Let cool…or not! Everyone loves a soft cookie right out of the oven!
