My kids will barely eat PB&J without complaining they don’t like peanut butter…or jelly. Or even Fried PB & J. Turkey sandwiches? Maybe on Tuesday. When it comes to kids, you never know what you are going to get which is why serving up something fun and interesting is the way to go! Enter peanut butter, banana and pretzels…yep. That. It’s called a Dale Earnhardt Jr. Sandwich, named after its inventor. But here is the thing…it also has mayo on it.
And crazier…it’s pretty darn tasty. SERIOUSLY!
I can remember growing up family members eating mayo and peanut butter and thinking it was the oddest, and grossest, thing. I would never try it. But TRY IT! Mayo somehow enhances the creaminess of the peanut butter, which isn’t overly surprising considering its often a secret ingredient to a chocolate cake.

This sandwich cracks me up! Bananas and Hellmann’s®? It’s surprisingly creamy and often compared to more dessert than dinner! Dale Earnhardt Jr. tweeted earlier this year his sandwich celebration, bananas and Hellmann’s and it viral! See if it’s a celebration dinner in your house by testing out the famous Dale Earnhardt Jr. Sandwich recipe below:
