One of my favorite ways to decorate for the holidays is to use printables. There are multiple reasons why I use them. They’re just plain ol’ cute, they are super easy to change out for the next holiday, they’re inexpensive and there is a huge variety of styles, colors, images, quotes, etc.
My house has been decorated in a fall motif for weeks and weeks now. But just today I realized I was really bored with the fall printable that was sitting on my piano. I printed it off for fall 4 years ago and have loved it all that time. Today I decided I just wanted to sit down and have some fun making a new one.
The only problem is once I got started I had a few different ideas running through my head and I couldn’t decide which direction I wanted to go with my design. I guess the creative juices were really flowing because once I finished I realized I had not one, but three, options for new Thanksgiving printables!
And of course, as soon as I was done I knew I had to share them with you.
Option #1: Thankful
Take note that this option is a horizontal layout. It also uses up a bit more ink than the other two, but it’s nice and bold and will stand out beautifully in your fall decor.

Option #2: Gobble ‘Til You Wobble
Maybe it’s a little overdone but out of all my printables, I’ve never made this phrase before. So I decided I had to try it out. I like it, it makes me smile. I thought it would be pretty cute as part of the table setting for Thanksgiving dinner. As you can see this one is a vertical printable.

Option #3: Gather Here With Thankful Hearts
On a more serious note, I love the way this phrase seems to beckon us. I feel like it’s calling to all of us who are hustling and bustling in our busy lives, extending an invitation to slow down, to join together, to stop and take a moment to breathe, focus, and remember what’s important and what we’re most thankful for.
This printable is also vertical orientation.
On a side note, I loved the watercolor look of this so much that I created matching place cards for you to use as part of your Thanksgiving table settings. So be on the lookout for those a little later this week! You can find the place cards here.

Quick Hack For Using Printables
Now I know that by now probably everyone around has used a printable a time or two. But I remember there was once a day when I had never tried one out as part of my decorating routine. So I just wanted to quickly show any newbies out there the easiest way I know to get them printed out and in your frame.
First, everyone has different printers, settings, preferences, etc. but I’ve tried to make my printables work for what the majority of people are using as their settings at home. Which means you shouldn’t need to do anything special when you print. Just open the PDF and click print.
Second, the printable is sized as an 8×10 in order to fit beautifully into an 8×10 picture frame. But it will print out on an 8.5×11 paper. So you will have to do some trimming.
While you could go to the trouble of measuring it all out, or even the opposite and just eyeball it (please don’t!) I like to just use the glass in my frame as my guide.
Place the glass on top of your printed picture. Use a pencil to lightly trace around the edges.
Next, use a paper cutter (or scissors if you don’t have access to a paper cutter) to trim away the excess.
Your paper should now fit perfectly inside your frame.
I hope you enjoy these free printables. Let me know in the comments below which one you decided to use and where you put it in your fall decorations!
