No churn ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate is so easy that you may never buy a gallon from the store again! This easy ice cream recipe will blow your mind as you discover just how simple it is to make homemade ice cream with a few simple ingredients.
Peanut Butter Ice Cream
I love ice cream. I love it, so much in fact, that I rarely buy it. I am afraid the temptation will be too much to bare around the 10pm period where we are sitting down to watch something on Netflix. That doesn’t mean that there are not, on occasion, times that I am desperate and considering going out to the dollar store for some sort of late night snack.
But I have discovered something even better- making no churn ice cream from home and I want to show you how to make it.
And no, you do not need an ice cream machine or a ball with a bunch of ice and salt in it that you throw for 3 hours. You can easily make no churn ice cream in the comfort of your kitchen. While this isn’t a 5-minute recipe because it needs some time to freeze, it most certainly is a ‘day of recipe’.
Whip up ice cream in the morning, be enjoying the fruits of your labor by the time dinner is done.
And even better, with making no churn ice cream at home, you can customize it to your favorite flavors and colors quite easily, which is exactly what I am going to show you!
Personally, I have 2 favorite flavors of ice cream: Mint Chip and Peanut butter & Chocolate. Because I dare do not mess with the perfection that is mint chip, I was really excited to be introduced to peanut powder by Santa Cruz. I had never heard of peanut powder before they asked me to use it in a recipe, but it’s an ingredient that will change your life.
From smoothies to dips, chicken to ice cream, peanut powder makes it easy as pie to give an intense peanut flavor with none of the work.
No more sticky-ooey-gooey-stuck-stuck-to-the-sides peanut butter in your recipes. You can simply use a proportioned amount of peanut powder (and with Santa Cruz Organic, the products are USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified and never contain artificial ingredients, so you can feel good about treating your family and your guests) to create even the most custom of meals.
How to make No Churn Ice Cream
No churn ice cream is a fantastic solution that satisfies the need to custom create your own personal flavors and not worry about a heavy duty machine on hand. You start with two simple ingredients: Sweetened Condensed milk and whipping cream.
These two items alone will you give you delicious ice cream in about 5-6 hours of freeze time, but no need to stop there.
As mentioned above, I love chocolate & peanut butter ice cream and I wanted to share two fantastic extra ingredients to create the most creamy, delicious and perfect no churn ice cream ever.
First, instead of grating in chocolate or adding cocoa powder, simply use Chocolate Flavored Sweetened condensed milk. It’s a limited edition and I found it randomly while picking up the normal kind.
You can also buy caramel flavor.
Second, use Santa Cruz Organic Peanut Powder.
Peanut Butter is notoriously messy and kinda difficult to work with when you stir.
It gets caught in the grates of the blender and mixer, so using powder gives you less calories, less fat, less product needed and no stick.
You get a nice even smooth peanutty taste with no alteration to the texture.
