How to make a Walking Taco. Such a fantastically easy and fun dinner, this walking tacos recipe is perfect for any night of the week and amazing for party groups.

Scroll below for a printable walking tacos recipe and learn how to make Taco Tuesday the talk of the dinner table.

Taco night would be every night if it was up to my husband and I. We could eat tacos in every way- soft shells, hard shells, these delicious fried shells that my husband makes like a boss. We can eat white chicken enchiladas, tostada’s, taquito’s…I don’t care how you flip, bake, or fry it, you top it with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa and I am THERE.

Now my kids on the other hand? They groat at Tacos. I don’t know WHY but it likely has something do with with their in ability to eat any form of lettuce, tomato or veggie of any kind, making a taco somewhat boring. Not anymore!

Walking Tacos is a perfect way to break out of the rut, especially with picky kids, and let them create the perfect taco that has little mess and can be WALKED to the dinner table!

You can make your own walking tacos recipe with either Doritos, Fritos, or any other of your very favorite crunchy chips.

Just grab bags of mini chips and voila, a DIY dinner recipe that can be custom served for every member of your household.

Cook chili or taco meat as desired, then assemble “taco tray.”  If you do not have a tray like this, you can purchase one here.
Having an easy to set up tray helps show everyone all the ingredients they can choose from and its a perfect set up for little kids or multiple tables in a larger party.
Open the Doritos bags and roll down the edge two or three times.
Keep in mind that Doritos and Fritos both come in a variety of flavors so you can really mix up the offerings for this dinner recipe!

Add toppings as desired, and eat right out of the bag!
I suggest building with a huge helping of chili, then adding all your favorite veggies, and topping off with sour cream, guacamole, ranch, and olives!
