For all you 5 minute “non crafters” that still love to hand make items- I have a fantastically easy Christmas Ornament craft for you! I swear. Easy. If you can use a glue gun, you can do this.
Now I know we are still quite a few weeks out from the ho-ho-ho-holiday, but the time is NOW to get your craft on. Thanksgiving is but a mere week before we are packing away our final pumpkins and fall leaves in place of cranberries, pine and cinnamon, so this is a great transition tutorial.
Before I launch into that, I wanted to take a minute and share with you some other items from this week you may have missed so when you are done, scroll up and visit these other tutorials of mine…if you want to. No pressure. But really, please visit!

How to make Cinnamon Stick Stars
Cinnamon is one of my very favorite smells year round. I know at this time everything is covered in pine and cinnamon, but we love it so much we put it in our chili (Psst, that’s a secret ingredient tip for ya). And now that my Christmas tree is up, I wanted to start putting a few things on it, starting with the smell goods. This is why I wanted to share my Cinnamon Stick Stars with you!
To make this ornament the same way I did, you will need the following to make your stars
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Bell
- Tiny wire
- Glue stick
All you do is glue your sticks into a star. It helps to pre-measure and lay them out so you can have as even of a star as possible before hand. Once you have a star, you can stop there and connect it to your tree OR you can move on like I did.
I also added a little dangling bell with a tiny piece of jewelry wire. A simple twist of the wire on and done! I told you it was easy.
SEEEEEEEEEE. Cute. Easy. Fun. And you can pretty much make a star with anything btw. Pencils, Rulers, Straws. I love having a cinnamon star and a little bell because, well, Christmas.
