How to Make Chicken Parmesan like Olive Garden
Prepare pasta according to package directions and set aside. You can do this while you are making the rest of your meal.
Cut up your boneless, skinless chicken breasts into strips.
Heat up the oil in your pan to med high heat.
Mix your breadcrumbs, flour, and Parmesan cheese together in a bowl and set aside.
Add milk in a second bowl.
Now dip your chicken strips into the bread, then milk, then back into breadcrumbs for a second layer.
Dip chicken in breadcrumb mixture and then in milk and then back in breadcrumbs.
Carefully place your chicken into the pan (I prefer cast iron) and fry both sides carefully. Remove chicken (I use tongs) and set on a plate.
In a second pan, melt your butter and olive oil. Whisk in your flour and make a roux. Now add your garlic, water, salt, and wine. Stir.
Immediately add half and half and sour cream stir.
Once everything is mixed together, add your cheese to make your sauce.
You can add fresh herbs like basil or even crushed red peppers if you like.
Place your pasta on a plate, add chicken, then pour your sauce.
Serve your Copycat Olive Garden Parmesan Crusted Chicken immediately.
